 General guidelines for preparing Illustrator files for printing.
- Make sure you are working in CMYK and spot colors are converted to process.
- Save a copy of the file, and using the new copy outline all fonts. Select all, go to Type menu, select outline type. Make sure you keep the original file in case edits are required.
- Images can either be supplied separately or embedded. If the image is to be embedded
you must make sure the image is CMYK and double-check the link pallet to see that the image is embedded.
